Ultra-precise ctDNA rare variant analysis of plasma samples using highly multiplexed assays on the QX600 Droplet Digital PCR System

In this webinar we will review the laboratory workflows and data analysis capabilities of the new QX600 Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) System (Bio-Rad Inc.). The presentation will review features that support sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of multiplexed ddPCR. Specifically, we will highlight applications of potential use in oncology sample analysis, including rare variant detection for identification of actionable mutations in plasma specimens. Additionally, multiple target detection with ultra-sensitive variant detection could be of utility in minimal molecular residual disease applications.

Provides insight into ddPCR assay development and characterization for detection of up to 12 rare variants per ctDNA sample along with real-world performance.

Learning objectives:

  1. The new QX600 ddPCR System provides a highly adaptable, low-burden and lab-friendly workflow
  2. ddPCR technology provides an ideal platform for ultra-sensitive, cost-effective ctDNA analysis with a rapid turn-around-time
  3. The advanced 6-color detection capabilities of the QX600 ddPCR System sets a new standard in user-friendliness when developing highly multiplexed assays
